Life – La vita

The series “The life” exposed for the first time in 2004 was painted between the autumn of 2002 and the early  2004.

The technic is a mix of oil and acryl on canvas supports. The dimension of the canvas are averagely 50×70 cm.

The painter represents the stream of life through seven paintings, each painting shows one of the central theme of the history of art.

The structure of each painting follows a “tragic diagonal” from up left to bottom right corner. The colour used are mild, neutral with a few accents of primary and secondary colours. The background are not descriptive, in dark fading colours, they leave the attention of the watcher for the main subject. The orientation of the canvas is main vertical with only one exception.

Starting with “Adam and Eva” freely covered from Klimt, the stream of life passes to the Maternity, highly inspired by Picasso dismal vision(picture taken in the original studio of the painter). It follows an encripted self-portrait where it is possible to feel the “presence” of the influence of  master De Chirico. More the stream of the Life flows, more the style and the representation solutions become individual and original. The Venus shows a modern suburban melancholic woman. The couple painting plays on the commixture of genders, the trio family portrait, where all characters looks in different directions, leaves serenity apart while a passionate lips Jesus looks over yonder, towards an undefinied humanity….
